The 2016 Farmville Jaycees Christmas Parade
presented by
ALCOVA Mortgage - Powhatan is Sunday, December 4 at 2:00 p.m.
Join us in
Downtown Farmville! on Sunday, December 4th.
Parade entrants include high school bands, churches, fire departments,
pageant queens, equestrians, non-profit organizations, local businesses,
classic cars, and motorcycle clubs.

The deadline for entry is Friday,
November 11th.

Farmville Jaycees Celebrates 75 Years
During 2015 the Farmville Jaycees celebrated 75 years of service
to the local community. A special thanks to the Prince Edward County Board
of Supervisors and the Farmville Herald for highlighting our efforts.
Supervisors recognize and commend Farmville Jaycees on 75th anniversary.

Friday, Sept. 13, 1940 edition of The Herald debuts the presentation of
the Farmville Junior Chamber of Commerce receiving its charter. The club
would eventually become the Farmville Jaycees.
B. Powell Harrison, then-president of the Virginia Junior Chamber of
Commerce, presents Anthony Martin, then-president of the Farmville
Junior Chamber of Commerce, with the organization’s original charter.
